How to Build Over $28 Million in Development Projects with Jason John Byron

Jason John Byron discussing property development

Some of the most successful people on the BRW Rich List are not property investors—they are property developers. What helps them manage consistent profits year after year? Success leaves clues. Jason John Byron sees himself as a success detective.

The best thing that happened in his property journey was changing the old mindsets and belief patterns that restricted him from creating wealth, security and happiness.

Successful people think differently and create their own destiny. They use patterns of growth to guide them towards a successful outcome. There is also another pattern to recognise: the failure pattern.

When you are ready to shift towards a successful mindset, examine the patterns of failure and success. The clues show what to change in your life and business so you can move towards success instead of regret.

Build a system you own

Successful people create systems so they do not have to work inside every part of the system. Think about where you are now: how much of your life is spent operating someone else’s system? Are you the worker or the owner?

Once you move from working inside a system to controlling one, you can scale an operation that others manage within clear guidelines. Managers can run the process while preserving the intended profit margin.

The concept is not new. A franchise is simply a proven system somebody else has created. Instead of buying a franchise, Jason’s approach was to create a property-development system capable of working with investor capital. His responsibility was to apply that capital within a disciplined process, generate a return for investors and reward himself for managing the outcome.

Property development fundamentals

In the accompanying Property Investory interview, Jason explains the achievable steps and fundamentals of adding value through property development. He also discusses training yourself to think positively, setting goals throughout the journey and using systems within the business.
