Jason John Byron has been running profitable projects for more than ten years. His earlier work as a television production manager gave him skills that transferred naturally to another industry.
Property development requires the same management disciplines. Together with Amy Tang, whose background was in event management, Jason developed a system for delivering successful property projects.
Jason studied some of the world’s most successful businesspeople and looked for the common system behind their results. He decided that if he wanted to succeed, he needed to develop and follow a similarly disciplined process.
Manufacture growth
Jason created a company that shares his experience and property-development system with investors. The aim was to help them move beyond simply buying existing property or completing difficult renovations and towards development projects capable of creating substantial chunks of profit.
Developing properties enabled his portfolio to grow by creating equity rather than waiting for market growth.
“The best thing about property development is that you can manufacture growth.” — Jason John Byron
Adding value with a repeatable process
Successful property investors need to identify opportunities and add value rather than relying solely on the market rising over years or decades.
In the Property Secrets interview, Jason discusses the inspiration behind his journey, adding value to property, joint-venture partnerships and using equity. The central lesson is that property can be rewarding from many starting points when you apply a strategy suited to your circumstances and follow a system.
